Mr. Edward F. Smith, also known as Ed, has been the Chief Financial Officer, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of Marinus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since November 2013. Mr. Smith served as the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance at PolyMedix, Inc., from March 2006 to April 1, 2013 and served as its Principal Accounting Officer and Secretary until April 1, 2013. Mr. Smith served as Acting Chief Executive Officer and Acting President of PolyMedix, Inc. from January 2013 to April 1, 2013. He has over 15 years of combined biopharmaceutical industry and financial management experience. From 2000 to 2005, he served as an Executive Director of Finance at InKine Pharmaceutical Company, Inc. (acquired by Salix Pharmaceuticals, Ltd.). From 1993 to 1999, Mr. Smith held various positions of increasing responsibility in public accounting, where he held positions of increasing responsibility and served as a Manager in the audit practice at Deloitte & Touche LLP. Mr. Smith is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Pennsylvania and earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Hartford.

Dr. Kimberly A. McCormick, PharmD, serves as Head of Regulatory Affairs at Marinus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Dr. McCormick is an experienced Senior Regulatory Affairs professional. She has more than 15 years of regulatory strategy and experience in leading the development and registration of products across many different regions and therapeutic areas, with a focus in Neuroscience. She served as Senior Director, Global Regulatory Affairs, Lifitegrast and ADHD/Vyvanse New Uses for Shire Pharmaceuticals. She held various positions at Pfizer over the span of 12 years, including Director, Global Regulatory Affairs; Global Product Development.
