Depends on the location - McKesson is a large company made up of many acquisitions and still runs in a federated model. But, I would say the following: - Some of the smaller acquired groups have maintained their startup cultures and look very modern. - Some of the offices with legacy products that have been declining over the years have a "dead" feeling culture - The new hub strategy which focuses on Scottsdale, Dallas, Atlanta, Richmond, Ireland, etc. locations have new investment in build outs, more modern workplaces, and more engaged employees - Overall, a middle aged culture - not a lot of younger people which is a negative.
It really depends on the location and the department. In general, people are really friendly and I'd say that most people would say that a big reason they stay is because of their co-workers. In SF, we enjoy each other's company, respect one another, work hard, but also enjoy the flexibility of working from home. It's a very lean team, which has it's challenges, so you can expect to do a lot of everything.
It was cool til they took the foos table which was an incredible stress reliever
