The leadership team needs to be honest about what they can and cannot do for people. They should start supporting their foundational employees that actually do work and are billable not the out-of-touch directors. The path should be transparent and honest.
Despite charging our clients a large premium, we don't use that to re-invest in our employees. Because of that our clients have poached many employees and there is tremendous turnover. So much so that it is not affecting client relationships and future business.
