Dr. Susanne Wilke, Ph.D., MBA, has been the President and Chief Executive Officer at CrossBridge International, LLC since August 2011. Dr. Wilke has over 15 years operational experience working in leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. She served as Director of Worldwide New Product Assessment for General Medicine and Specialty Pharmaceuticals at Forest Laboratories, as Senior Associate and later Principal at NGN Capital, as Kauffman Fellow in Venture Capital at Schroder Ventures Life Sciences and as Project Leader for Metabolic Diseases at Hoffmann-La-Roche. She joined NGN in 2004. She was Consultant at The Monitor Group in New York From January 2011 to August 2011. She was Principal of NGN BioMed Opportunity I, L.P. She worked at Schroder Ventures Life Sciences, where she served as a Kauffman Fellow focusing on investments in drug products, medical devices and healthcare service companies. Prior to Schroder Ventures, she worked at Amgen Corporation in Strategic Planning responsible for the set-up of the $100 million Amgen Research facility in Boston. Prior to this, Dr. Wilke was in project leadership positions with Hoffmann ??? La Roche and Vertex Pharmaceuticals, where she led research teams in structure based small molecule drug discovery in the metabolic and CNS diseases areas. She serves as a Board Observer at KIKA Medical. She served as an Observer at GlycoFi, Archemix and Phase Forward. She has been a Director of Neurotrope, Inc. since February 15, 2016. Dr. Daniel L. Alkon, also known as Dan, M.D., has been Scientific Director at Blanchette Rockefeller Neurosciences Institute since 1999. Dr. Alkon has been the Chief Scientific Officer of Neurotrope, Inc. since August 23, 2013. Dr. Alkon serves as Chief Scientific Officer at Neurotrope Bioscience, Inc. Dr. Alkon is a Co-founder of Neurotrope, Inc. and has been its President since September 16, 2016. He began his career in biomedical research. During his 30 year career at NIH, he became a Medical Director in the U.S. Public Health Service at the NINDS and Chief of the Laboratory of Adaptive Systems. As an internationally recognized pioneer in research on brain-based neural networks and the molecular basis of memory, he has authored hundreds of scientific articles as well as several books including Memory Traces in the Brain by Cambridge University Press and the popular book Memory's Voice by Harper Collins. He serves as a Director of Blanchette Rockefeller Neurosciences Institute. He served as a Director of Neurotrope Bioscience, Inc. After earning his M.D. at Cornell University and finishing an Internship in Medicine at the Mt Sinai Hospital in New York, he joined the staff of the National Institutes of Health. He was named as recipient of the Toyota Chair in Neurodegenerative Disease Research for Distinguished Research at the Blanchette Rockefeller Neurosciences Institute in 2006 and is a Professor of Neurology in the West Virginia University School of Medicine. Dr. Alkon received his Undergraduate Degree in Chemistry in 1965 at the University of Pennsylvania, where, with Post-Graduate studies in Physical Chemistry.
