
We encourage our employees to life a balanced life. Like any consultancy, we expect strong billable utilization of our billable team members, but we have a liberal policy for remote work, saving our employees enormous amounts of time otherwise spent commuting to the office. We also have a completely egalitarian family leave policy for maternity and paternity leave for all types of family models. We also include a health and wellness benefit that allows our employees to expense up to $500 per year on expenses associated with maintaining their health, whether it be gym memberships, exercise equipment, etc.
Work life balance is on you is really the simple answer. There is always work to be done and you run your business. Sometimes you will be super busy for a week or time, other times you will be slow, but the one thing to always watch is what needs to be done and when to let yourself breath. New Signature works hard but we also know that family and life are important to keeping a healthy and happy employee.
I have found New Signature to be accommodating and flexible. The work-from-home policy is very generous. Because nearly everyone is remote, everyone is on equal footing and we adjust our business processes to accommodate the lack of physical presence.
We work hard and play hard. You run your business. There are times when you have light days or cases when you must step in and work longer.
Fantastic work life balance however, there are numerous teleconference meetings throughout the day. Sometimes more than needed and harder to get "actual" work done.
