Dr. William K. Seltzer, Ph.D., FACMG, has been a Vice President of Clinical Services at OncoCyte Corporation since July 2015. Dr. Seltzer joined OncoCyte in September 2014. He is a board certified clinical molecular geneticist with 30 years commercial and academic experience in clinical diagnostic services, clinical diagnostic products development and commercialization, quality assurance and regulatory compliance. He served as Laboratory Director of Counsyl, Inc. since March 2011 and served as its Site Director. He served as Senior Vice President of Laboratory Operations of Veracyte, Inc. since November 2009. He established the clinical diagnostic laboratory at Veractyte, Inc. He served as Senior Laboratory Director, Site Director, Laboratory Director of Laboratory Operations and Vice President of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs at Athena Diagnostics, Inc. He joined Athena Diagnostics, Inc. in 1994 from the University of Colorado School of Medicine where he held the academic rank of Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Biochemistry, Biophysics and Genetics. As a member of the executive management team at Athena Diagnostics, he was responsible for the successful launch and oversight of clinical services for over 100 Laboratory Developed Tests (LDTs) in the fields of Neurology, Endocrinology and Nephrology. Dr. Seltzer founded University of Colorado's DNA Diagnostic Laboratory in 1985 and served as its Director. He served as Co-Chair of the U.S. Huntington Disease Genetics Testing Group. He was a Founding Member of the GeneTests Advisory Board. He has published more than 50 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and is co-inventor on patents for molecular diagnostics and methods. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Medical Genetics in the specialty of Clinical Molecular Genetics and is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Genetics. He completed his clinical fellowship in molecular genetics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Seltzer holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Nutrition from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
