Mr. Christopher W. Wright, Esq., has been Vice President and Secretary of Pacific Ethanol, Inc. since June 2006 and has been its General Counsel since June 26, 2006. Mr. Wright is a senior lawyer and Manager with over 23 years of experience and served as a Partner with the global law firm Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe. He was a Partner in the Business department of Cooley Godward Kronish LLP. He joined Cooley Godward in 1998 and served as a Partner in charge of its Pacific Northwest office, based in Kirkland, Washington. His practice focuses on the representation of emerging companies in all aspects of capital formation, as well as business and technology acquisitions, mergers and strategic alliances. Mr. Wright represents venture capitalists in connection with investments and portfolio transactions. His experience includes advising a broad range of information technology concerns, including internet, software, semi-conductor, network device, telecommunication and wireless service companies. He advises technology companies in the protection, transfer and licensing of intellectual property. He has acted as general counsel for numerous technology enterprises in all aspects of corporate development, including fund-raising, business and technology acquisitions, mergers and strategic alliances. Mr. Wright holds an A.B. in History from Yale College and a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School in 1981.
