Mr. Dominique P. Monnet has been President at PDL BioPharma, Inc. since September 11, 2017. Mr. Monnet served as the Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President of Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since May 2014 until September 18, 2015,. Mr. Monnet was responsible for the commercial operations of Alexion Pharmaceuticals in the United States and Latin America. Mr. Monnet leads Alexion's Global Franchises in PNH, aHUS and metabolic disorders and oversees the Alexion Pharmaceuticals New Products and Business Operations functions. Mr. Monnet has more than 30 years of biopharmaceutical experience. He served as Vice President and General Manager for the Inflammation Business Unit at Amgen since 2011 until 2013, where he was responsible for growing the Enbrel?? franchise in a highly competitive market. He served as Vice President and Head of Amgen's Global Marketing and Commercial Development, where he led the marketing strategy and new product launches in oncology, bone health, nephrology, cardiology, neuroscience and inflammation therapeutic areas. From 2002 to 2006, Mr. Monnet was based in Zug, Switzerland, where he served as Vice President of International Marketing and Business Operations. Mr. Monnet served positions of increasing responsibility at Schering-Plough, including General Manager for UK and Ireland entity. Mr. Monnet earned his undergraduate business degree from EDHEC Business School in Lille, France and has an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.

Mr. Steffen Pietzke, CPA has been Chief Accounting Officer and Vice President of Finance of PDL BioPharma, Inc. since June 2015 and April 5, 2017 respectively. Mr. Pietzke served as Controller of PDL BioPharma, Inc. since June 2015 until April 5, 2017. He joined PDL from Ernst & Young LLP (E&Y), where he held the position of senior manager since 2013. He provided audit and related financial services to both public and private companies in the U.S., Europe and China. Prior to joining E&Y, Mr. Pietzke was with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP for more than 12 years, most recently as a Senior Manager. He is highly regarded at these public accounting firms for his technical expertise and was focused on specific complex areas such as revenue recognition, financial instruments, derivatives, stock-based compensation and public offerings. Mr. Pietzke is a licensed Certified Public Accountant, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and holds a Bachelor of Business Science degree in Accounting with honors from the University of Sciences in Offenburg, Germany.

Mr. Peter S. Garcia, also known as Pete, has been the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President at PDL BioPharma, Inc. since May 13, 2013. Mr. Garcia served as the Chief Financial Officer and Principal Accounting Officer of Asterias Biotherapeutics, Inc. Mr. Garcia served as Acting Chief Accounting Officer of PDL BioPharma, Inc. from May 13, 2013 to July 24, 2013. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of BioTime, Inc. from October 4, 2011 to June 11, 2013 and also served as its Principal Accounting Officer until June 11, 2013. Mr. Garcia lead the accounting, finance and investor relations functions at BioTime, Inc. Mr. Garcia served as the Chief Financial Officer of Marina Biotech, Inc. (formerly MDRNA, Inc.) from July 13, 2009 to September 1, 2011. He served as Secretary of MDRNA Inc. since July 13, 2009. Mr. Garcia served as Principal Accounting Officer of MDRNA, Inc. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of both public and private life science and high technology companies for the past 13 years. Mr. Garcia served as Chief Financial Officer of Nanosys Inc. from July 2004 to 2008 and also served as its Principal Accounting Officer. He was responsible for finance, facilities, information technology and investor and government relations. Mr. Garcia served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Nuvelo Inc., from May 2001 to July 2004, Secretary since January 2003 and also served as its Principal Accounting Officer. From May 2000 to April 2001, Mr. Garcia served as the Chief Financial Officer of Novacept, Inc., Chief Financial Officer and Consultant at IntraBiotics Pharmaceuticals, Inc., from January 1999 to April 2000 and Chief Financial Officer at Dendreon Corporation from July 1996 to December 1998. Prior to this experience, he worked at Amgen Inc., from 1990 to 1996 in a variety of financial executive positions, including Assistant Corporate Controller. Mr. Garcia holds a B.A. Degree in Economics and Sociology from Stanford University in 1983 and an M.B.A. with an emphasis in finance and accounting from the Anderson School at the University of California, Los Angeles in 1985.

Mr. Christopher L. Stone, J.D., has been a Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of PDL BioPharma, Inc. since February 02, 2009. Mr. Stone has a wealth of experience managing intellectual property litigation. Previously, Mr. Stone served as Vice President of Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary at LS9 Inc., where he focused on intellectual property protection and licensing since February 2008 and serves as its Member of Advisory board. From 2005 to 2006, he served as Vice President of Intellectual Assets USA at Danisco A/S. From 1994 to 2005, Mr. Stone served as Vice President of Intellectual Property. He served as General Patent Counsel at Genencor International. Mr. Stone began his law career as an Associate Attorney at Willian Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, where he specialized in patent and trade secret court actions and prosecuted biotechnology patent applications before the United States Patent & Trademarks Office. He is a Member of the District of Columbia Bar and California Bar and was admitted to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office in 1992. Mr. Stone received a J.D. from the National Law Center at George Washington University and a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Massachusetts.
