Ms. Paula C. Maggio, J.D., has been an Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at Retail Properties of America, Inc. since May 02, 2016. Ms. Maggio served as Secretary and General Counsel at Strategic Hotels & Resorts, Inc. since May 2004 and its Executive Vice President since 2007. She served at the firm since 2000, having started with its predecessor organization. Ms. Maggio was responsible for oversight of the Company's legal and corporate governance affairs. She played a critical role in the Company's initial public offering in 2004 and subsequently has executed a number of significant investment, acquisition and divestment transactions for the Company. She practiced law with Altheimer & Gray, where she focused primarily on real estate and hospitality law. Ms. Maggio received a Bachelor of Arts and Juris doctor, cum laude, both from the University of Illinois.

Ms. Julie M. Swinehart has been Chief Accounting Officer and Senior Vice President of Retail Properties of America, Inc. since July 2015 and April 30, 2013 respectively. Ms. Swinehart had been Corporate Controller of Retail Properties of America, Inc. since April 30, 2013 until August 5th 2015 and has been its Principal Accounting Officer since May 15, 2013 until August 5th 2015. Ms. Swinehart has fifteen years of accounting and financial reporting experience and has been employed by Retail Properties of America since June 2008. During her tenure with Retail Properties of America, Ms. Swinehart has held various accounting and financial reporting positions. Ms. Swinehart was a Manager of External Reporting at Equity Office Properties Trust for two years and she spent eight years in public accounting in the audit practices of Arthur Andersen LLP and Deloitte & Touche LLP. She received her B.S. in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Mr. Shane C. Garrison has been the Chief Investment Officer of Retail Properties of America, Inc. since November 15, 2007. Mr. Garrison has been an Executive Vice President of Retail Properties of America, Inc. since October 12, 2010 and has been its Chief Operating Officer since January 1, 2012. Mr. Garrison joined Inland US Management LLC in 2004 as the Vice President of Asset Management. He spearheaded the development and joint venture initiatives for Inland Western. Mr. Garrison served as the Head of Asset Management at ECI Properties, where he was in charge of it's real estate portfolio which included industrial and retail properties. He served as the General Manager of the Midwest Region for Circuit City. Mr. Garrison is an Active Member of the Urban Land Institute, the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trust, Inc., and the International Council of Shopping Centers. He has a Master's of Business Administration in Real Estate Finance from DePaul University in Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Illinois State University.

Mr. Michael F. Fitzmaurice has been Senior Vice President of Finance at Retail Properties of America, Inc. since September 20, 2017 and served as its Vice President of Capital Markets & Investor Relations since January 12, 2017. Mr. Fitzmaurice served as Vice President of Finance at Retail Properties of America, Inc. from August 2012 to January 12, 2017. He oversees Capital Markets and Investor Relations. Mr. Fitzmaurice spent 11 years at General Growth Properties, a public REIT, in various finance, capital markets and accounting roles with his most recent role as Vice President of Finance. In addition, Mr. Fitzmaurice spent two years with Equity Office Properties as a Manager with the Investments/Due Diligence team. Mr. Fitzmaurice received his B.S. in finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
