Mr. Edmundo Gontardo Guimaraes, also known as Ed, CPA, CA, has been the Chief Financial Officer of Sierra Metals Inc. since November 17, 2014. Mr. Guimaraes has over 25 years of Canadian and international experience in the mining industry. He served as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Finance at AUR Resources, Inc. from November 20, 2006 to August 2007. Mr. Guimaraes has worked as a consultant in the resources industry. Mr. Guimaraes served as an Acting Chief Financial Officer of AUR Resources, Inc. since April 18, 2006 and Vice President and Controller since February 2005. Mr. Guimaraes worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP prior to joining AUR Resources in 1995. He has been a Director of Orvana Minerals Corp. since February 28, 2013. He served as an Independent Director of Aldridge Minerals Inc. since May 2011 until November 16, 2017. He served as an Independent Director of Karmin Exploration Inc., since September 2, 2011. He served as an Independent Director of Giyani Gold Corporation from August 30, 2011 to November 2014. Mr. Guimaraes served as a Director of Nuinsco Resources Ltd. from August 2010 to November 17, 2014. He is a Chartered Accountant. Mr. Guimaraes holds a Bachelor of Arts in Administrative and Commercial Studies from the University of Western Ontario.
