Mr. F. Justin Strickland has been the President of Southern First Bancshares, Inc. (Alternate Name: Greenville First Bancshares, Inc.) and Southern First Bank, National Association since November 2006 and also served as Principal Financial Officer of Southern First Bancshares, Inc. Mr. Strickland served as President of Carolina First Bank. He has over 22 years of banking experience. He serves as Chairman of the South Carolina Bankers Association. From 1985 to 1993, Mr. Strickland held various positions with The Citizens & Southern National Bank of South Carolina. From 1993 to November 2006, he was with Carolina First Bank. From 1999 to November 2006, he served as President of South Carolina Midlands Market. He also serves as Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Children's Trust Fund of South Carolina. He was Chairman of the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce and the Chairman of the SC Bankers Association. He held the position as treasurer of the Saluda Shoal Foundation and was a member of the boards of Columbia Urban League, Palmetto Health Foundation (past chairman), Junior Achievement (past chairman), the SC Bankers School (past chairman), and the Boy Scouts - Indiana Water Council. He is an active member of Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church. He was a prior Chairman of the SC Bankers Association /Young Bankers Division where he received the SC Outstanding Young Bankers Award in 1999. He has been a member in the past with the Rotary Club, Sertoma Club, Business Association of Columbia, Salvation Army and the United Way. Mr. Strickland is a 1985 graduate of the University of South Carolina with a bachelor's degree in finance and the LSU Graduate School of Banking of the South in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1996.

Mr. Len Howell has been Executive Vice President of Southern First Bancshares, Inc. and Executive Vice President of Southern First Bank since October 2012. Mr. Howell has 30 years of banking experience. He served 13 years as Regional Executive South Coastal for National Bank of South Carolina (NBSC). He is active in the Charleston community. He serves on the Education Foundation of the Charleston Chamber of Commerce and the Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments Board. He served as a Director of the Trident United Way, Charleston Chamber of Commerce and Roper Hospital Foundation Board.

Mr. Michael D. Dowling, also known as Mike, has been the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Southern First Bancshares, Inc. (Alternate Name: Greenville First Bancshares, Inc.) and Southern First Bank, National Association since March 2011. Mr. Dowling was employed with KPMG LLP where he was an Audit Partner. He was with KPMG since 1994 where he was a member of their Financial Services Practice. He has extensive experience working with public companies and financial institutions and was admitted to the KPMG partnership as an audit partner in 2005. Mr. Dowling graduated of Clemson University with a degree in Accounting in 1993 and is a Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina and South Carolina.
