Mr. Begleris received an M. Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College, London and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mr. Hamish Norton has been President at Star Bulk Carriers Corp. since July 2014. Mr. Norton serves as Principal Executive Officer and President at Star Bulk (USA) LLC. Mr. Norton served as Managing Director and Head of the Maritime Shipping Investment Banking Group at Jefferies & Company, Inc. from August 2007 to 2012. From 2003 to 2007, he was head of the shipping practice at Bear, Stearns. Mr. Norton was the Head of Corporate Development and Chief Financial Officer of Oceanbulk Maritime S.A. Mr. Norton has more than 23 years of experience as an investment banker and is an innovator in the global shipping industry. He was a Senior Managing Director in charge of the shipping practice at Bear Stearns. Previously he was a General Partner focused on the shipping industry at Lazard Freres & Co., since 1995. From 1984 to 1999, he worked at Lazard Fr???res & Co. Mr. Norton advised on the establishment of the first high-dividend public shipping companies, Nordic American Tanker Shipping and Knightsbridge Tankers Ltd and pioneered the use of the master limited partnership structure. He has advised on numerous capital markets and mergers and acquisitions transactions by shipping companies. He holds an AB in Physics from Harvard University and a PhD in Physics from the University of Chicago.

From 2005 to 2011, he served as Director of Strategic Planning, Communication and Investor Relations at the Hellenic Exchanges Group. From 1997 to 2002, Mr. Spyrou was responsible for financial analysis at the research and technology arm of the Hellenic Exchanges Group. He serves as a Director of Star Bulk Management Inc. Mr. Spyrou attended the University of Oxford, receiving a degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MSc in Engineering, Economics & Management, specializing in finance. Following the completion of his studies at Oxford, Mr. Spyrou obtained a post graduate degree in Banking and Finance, from Athens University of Economics & Business.

Mr. Nicos Rescos serves as Principal Executive Officer, President and Director of Star Bulk Management Inc. Mr. Rescos has been the Chief Operating Officer of Star Bulk Carriers Corp. since July 2014. Mr. Rescos served as the Chief Operating Officer of Oceanbulk Maritime S.A. since April 2010. He has been involved in the shipping industry since 1993 and has strong expertise in the dry bulk, container and product tanker markets. From 2007 to 2009, Mr. Rescos worked with a family fund in Greece investing in dry bulk vessels and product tankers. From 2000 to 2007, Mr. Rescos served as the Commercial Manager of Goldenport Holdings Inc. where he was responsible for the acquisition of 35 dry bulk and container vessels and initiated the company's entry in the product tankers arena through an innovative joint venture with a major commodity trading company. Mr. Rescos received a BSc in Management Sciences from The University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) and an MSc in Shipping Trade and Finance from the City University Business School.

Mrs. Charis Plakantonaki has been Chief Strategy Officer of Star Bulk Carriers Corp. since April 27, 2017. Mrs. Plakantonaki joined Star Bulk in 2015. She is responsible for Strategic Planning, Human Resources and Management Information Systems. From 2008 to 2015, she worked at Thenamaris (Ships Management) Inc., for the first five years as Strategic Projects Manager leading strategy development and organizational change programs and subsequently as Head of Corporate Communications responsible for developing and implementing the company's communication strategies. Prior to joining Thenamaris she was a Senior Consultant at the Boston Consulting Group where she managed strategy development projects for multinational companies across different industries and she worked at the Centre of Excellence of the global FMCG company DIAGEO and at the Organizing Committee of the ATHENS 2004 Olympic & Paralympic Games. Mrs. Plakantonaki received a B.S. in International & European Economics & Politics from the University of Macedonia, where she graduated as valedictorian and an MBA from INSEAD.
