State Farm is currently undergoing an IT Transformation, with many employees and their family members left in the dark about whether or not their jobs are impacted. Some families have had one spouse identified as impacted, but not the other. It makes decision-making hard as they are uncertain where to apply, if the jobs will continue, or if their spouse will find another position. Morale is at an all-time low, sentiment towards the executive "class" is at an all-time low, and there is no trust in the decision-making or information sharing, when there is one. Critical skills are walking out the door and no plans to replace them have caused teams to let critical systems go unsupported and this results in agents not having the services or support staff to manage their customers policies. It's a vicious cycle and has been stated it won't end until 2019, when it's hoped that all work and people transitions *might* be complete.
Horrible. Getting rid of experienced claims employees and replacing them with anyone they can find. Basic claim handling and investigations not being done. Liability decisions being made by customer service who take reports without speaking to all parties involved or reviewing police reports.
Terrible. Since the announcement of our office closing, nobody cares about their work product. And the new structure let's these people hide behind it without any consequences
Low though this changed slightly due to a surprise $1000 for all employees. For some they are happy, for others they are skeptical to the reasoning.
Morale is about as low as it can get: non-competitive pricing, excessive bureaucracy and leadership that has no clue about how to turn that around.
Depends on the department. I worked in system support where the morale was average to above average. In claims the morale is low.
Terrible. Replacing their extensive talent with low cost, unknowable replacements. They have limited claims knowledge and even more limited customer service skills.
Very low morale Especially in Claims..Leadership are not good examples, and some will play the popular game if u watch closely
No longer hiring knowledgeable claim reps so customers are being treated rudely and are getting more and more claims declined.
What morale? It's a horrible company to work for, not a good neighbor, State Farm does not care.
Lots of mandatory overtime, non competitive pay, to many metrics. Morale is horrible for claims employees
Low, no motivation, team activities don't exist
Low for some, average for most.
Depends on where you work
Very poor
Bad
