Mr. Denis J. Gallagher founded Student Transportation, Inc. in 1997 and serves as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Gallagher founded Student Transportation of America, Inc. in 1997. Mr. Gallagher serves as the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer at Student Transportation of America Holdings, Inc. and Student Transportation of Canada Inc. He directs the strategic operations of STI while leading and developing investor activities through capital raises and debt financing for the company. He serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of A&E West Coast Transport, Inc. He served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Global Passenger Services, L.L.C. He served as Regional Vice President of Operations and Senior Vice President of Operations for Laidlaw Passenger Services Group from 1987 to 1996 with responsibility for over 200 locations in the United States. Mr. Gallagher played a key role in Laidlaw's expansion into new markets, along with the consolidation and integration of many acquisitions. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Coast Cities Inc. Since 1996, Mr. Gallagher served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Sightseeing Tours of America, Inc. in New York City. He is a proven senior executive who has spent his entire business career in the transportation industry. Mr. Gallagher has over 30 years of experience in the passenger transportation industry. Mr. Gallagher has been a Director of HopSkipDrive Inc. since November 2017. He has been a Director of Student Transportation, Inc. since September 2004. He served as a Director of Canada Cartage Diversified GP Inc., general partner of Canada Cartage Diversified Income Fund. In 1989, Mr. Gallagher was elected as the Youngest Member ever to the Monmouth University Board of Trustees. In 1992, he was awarded Monmouth Universities Distinguished Alumni Award and in 2001 he was recognized as an honorary member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter of the University. He continues to support his alma mater notably on behalf of the Athletic Department and School of Business, where he received a full scholarship as a student. Mr. Gallagher is a 1976 graduate of Monmouth University, with a B.S in Business Administration.
