Mr. John L. Ayers served as Vice President, Strategy & Business Development of AOL for Broadband, Premium and Developer Services. In this role, Mr. Ayers was responsible for working with the senior management team to develop and implement the strategy and deals for AOL for Broadband, with a primary focus on distribution deals with major cable and telephony providers and new product deals with connected device companies. From 2001 to 2003, Mr. Ayers served as Vice President, Investments & Acquisitions at America Online. In this position, he worked with the different operating groups at AOL in developing and executing strategic transactions. During this time, he successfully led acquisitions in the communications, digital content and infrastructure areas and worked on a number of strategic analyses in the digital media, wireless, music, search, broadband and local areas. Before his work at AOL, Mr. Ayers served as a Senior Associate specializing in technology M&A and venture capital at the law firm of O'Sullivan, Graev & Karabell in New York from 1991 to 1995. He serves as an Independent Director of Twistage, Inc. Mr. Ayers holds an M.B.A. and J.D. from Georgetown University and is a graduate of Brown University with a B.A. in History (with Honors) and Economics.
