Mr. George C. Freeman, III, has been Chairman of Universal Corporation since August 5, 2008. Mr. Freeman has been Chief Executive Officer of Universal Corporation since April 1, 2008. Mr. Freeman has been President of Universal Corporation since December 12, 2006. Mr. Freeman served as the Principal Financial Officer of Universal Corporation since January 12, 2017 until March 14, 2017. He serves as Independent Director of Tredegar Corp.

Mr. Airton L. Hentschke has been the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Universal Corporation since April 1, 2015. Mr. Hentschke has more than 24 years of experience in leaf operations with Universal and has served since 2013 as Executive Vice President of Universal Leaf Tobacco Company, Incorporated. In this role, he supports Universal's global tobacco operations. Mr. Hentschke served as Regional Director for the operations in South America and President of Universal Leaf Tabacos Limitada in Brazil, where he began his employment in 1991.

Mr. Preston D. Wigner has been the General Counsel and Secretary of Universal Corporation since November 2, 2005 and has been its Vice President since August 2007. Mr. Wigner served as the Chief Compliance Officer of Universal Corporation from November 2007 to May September 2012. Mr. Wigner served as a Senior Counsel of Universal Leaf from November 2004 to November 2005, Counsel of Universal Leaf from March 2003 to September 2004 and was an Associate with Williams Mullen, P.C. from November 2000 to March 2003.

Mr. Theodore G. Broome has been the Executive Vice President of Universal Leaf Tobacco Company, Inc., at Universal Corp. , since April 2011 and also has been Sales Director of Universal Leaf Tobacco Company, Inc. since October 2012. Mr. Broome served as a Senior Vice President of Sales at Universal Corp. He joined the Universal Corp in 1994.

Mr. David C. Moore has been the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Universal Corp., since September 2008. Mr. Moore served as the Chief Administrative Officer and Vice President at Universal Corp. from April 1, 2006 to September 2008. He has been with Universal since 1978 and started his career in the areas of finance and international operations. He served Universal in assignments of increasing complexity and responsibility, which included oversight of its administrative offices in Europe from 1999 to 2005. He served as a Senior Vice President of Universal Leaf Tobacco Company, Incorporated ('Universal Leaf') from September 2005 to April 2006, Managing Director of Universal Leaf International SA from April 2002 to September 2005 and Senior Vice President of Universal Leaf Services International Ltd. from September 1999 to April 2002. Mr. Moore serves as Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors of the Virginia Manufacturers Association.

Mr. Robert M. Peebles has been Vice President of Universal Corp., since April 2011 and Controller since October 2003. Mr. Peebles joined Universal Corp., in September 2003. He spent seven years in public accounting before serving as Assistant Controller for CSX Corporation from November 2000 to March 2001 and more recently was a consultant with The Gabriel Group, Inc. from June 2001 to August 2003, served as an Assistant Controller of the Pittston Company from November 2000 to March 2001 and Assistant Controller of CSX Corporation from June 1997 to October 2000.
