Mr. Frederick H. Earnest, also known as Fred, B.Sc. has been the Chief Executive Officer of Vista Gold Corp. since January 1, 2012 and serves as its President. Mr. Earnest served as President at Vista Gold Corp.from August 1, 2007 to 2012. Mr. Earnest has been an Executive Director of Vista Gold Corp. since November 6, 2007. He served as the Chief Operating Officer of Vista Gold Corp. from August 1, 2007 to January 1, 2012. He served as a Senior Vice President of Project Development at Vista Gold Corp., from September 22, 2006 to August 1, 2007. He has over 25 years experience in the mining industry, including management of the development and operation of gold mines and engineering and technical services. He served as the President of Pacific Rim El Salvador, S.A. de C.V. from June 2004 to September 2006. He served as General Manager and Legal Representative of Compania Minera Dayton from April 1998 to June 2004. He served as a Director at Midas Gold Corp. from April 1, 2011 to May 2014. Mr. Earnest holds a BS in Mining Engineering from Colorado School of Mines.

Mr. Carlos Calderon, Jr., has been Vice President of Project Development of Vista Gold Corp. since January 7, 2008. Mr. Calderon serves as Vice President and General Manager at Minera Paredones Amarillos S.A. de C.V. He had been Project Manager for the Marmato Mountain Development Project in Colombia at Colombia Goldfields Ltd. since December 8, 2006. He serves as General Manager of Desarrollo Minero de Nicaragua, S.A., La Libertad, Nicaragua. Mr. Calderon has extensive experience in the mining industry. Over the past 36 years, he has managed exploration, construction and operational projects in Latin America and the U.S. Prior to joining Colombia Goldfields, Mr. Calderon served as Vice President of Operations for RNC Management, Ltd., Latin America. He served as the General Manager of the largest mine in Honduras, the Entre Mares Mine. He serves as a Director at Mayan Gold, Inc. Mr. Calderon obtained his. B.A., Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin in 1969 and his M.Sc., Mining Engineering in 1971 from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.

Mr. John W. Rozelle has been Senior Vice President of Vista Gold Corp. since August 01, 2012 and served as its Vice President of Technical Services since June 14, 2011. Mr. Rozelle is an economic and mining geologist with more than 30 years of experience. He served as the Manager of the Mineral Resource Division of Tetra Tech. He has personal experience with more than 100 gold projects and other metal projects in 48 countries. Mr. Rozelle holds a BA in Geology from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh and MS in Geochemistry from the Colorado School of Mines and is a Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101.

Mr. John F. Engele, also known as Jack, has been the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President at Vista Gold Corp. since May 29, 2012. Mr. Engele has over 25 years of mining finance and accounting experience including more than 12 years of experience in senior finance executive and CFO roles. Mr. Engele has substantial industry expertise in multiple areas including strategic planning, project and corporate finance, accounting, tax, risk management and regulatory compliance. Most recently Mr. Engele served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Electrum Ltd. (a privately held global gold exploration company). Previously, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of AngloGold Ashanti, North America. Mr. Engele served as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Queenstake Resources Ltd. since August 18, 2003. Mr. Jack has 17 years' experience in gold mining as a financial executive with Vista Gold and Echo Bay Mines and has substantial experience in overseeing mine-site controllers with respect to operations analysis, management reporting, audit and accounting issues. He has hands on experience with USA and Canadian compliance reporting, treasury responsibility, equity financing and tax and risk management functions. He served as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Vista Gold Corp. from May 1, 2001 to August 29, 2003. Mr. Engele served as a Director of Accounting, Vista Gold, from March 2001 to April 2001 and Director of Planning, Analysis and Operations Accounting, Echo Bay Mines Ltd. from June 1996 to February 2001. He is an Honors graduate of Regis University, Denver with a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance and Accounting.
