Mr. Richard A. Carlson, AIA LEED AP serves as Group President of Architecture & Engineering at Wight & Company and served as its Group President of Architecture. Mr. Carlson is responsible for the daily operations of Wight's architecture department. He ensures client satisfaction, maintains quality control and manages the staffing needs for design projects. He is also responsible for business development and client relations. Much of Mr. Carlson 's 30 years of experience has been at Wight. He is adept at all phases of design and is knowledgeable about project types including educational facilities, public buildings and master planning and indoor environmental engineering. Under Mr. Carlson 's direction, Wight's architecture department has grown to include design professionals, landscape architects and interior designers. Wight is ranked as a Top 500 Design Firm by Engineering News-Record. A Member of the US Green Building Council and a LEED Accredited Professional, he is a company leader for sustainable design strategies for all of Wight's design assignments. Mr. Carlson received a Bachelor's of architecture from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

Mr. Andrew Joseph, also known as Andy, AIA, LEED AP serves as Vice President and Design Principal at Wight & Company. With a natural talent for establishing a strong and enduring project vision, Mr. Joseph is a highly respected project leader. His ability to understand client needs and seamlessly translate them into effective design solutions makes him an invaluable resource on projects. Inquisitive and perceptive, his analytical nature enables him to process diverse data into a creative contextual solution.

Mrs. Dirk Lohan, FAIA serves as Principal at Wight & Company. Mrs. Lohan worked on projects such as the New National Gallery in Berlin, the Chicago IBM office building and the Toronto Dominion Center. She has produced an impressive portfolio of design solutions, including the McDonald's Corporate Headquarters Campus, the John G. Shedd Oceanarium, the Soldier Field stadium expansion and renovation and many other national and international projects of note. Mrs. Lohan studied Architecture.

Mr. Floyd D. Anderson, AIA serves as Principal at Wight & Company. Mr. Anderson has more than 35 years of experience as an architect. He developed a philosophy and work ethic that is very personal, proactive and client-focused. A proven director of successful design projects that are both large in scale and complex, his portfolio includes urban planning, as well as commercial, academic, residential and hospitality sector expertise. In his role as a senior leader of the firm, he oversees design projects to ensure a consistently high level of design integrity and innovation.

Ms. Jennifer London serves as Vice President and Director of Marketing & Communications at Wight & Company. Ms. London leads Wight & Company's marketing program. Her career spans more than 25 years of business-to-business marketing in a variety of industris, both for-profit and non-profit. Throughout her career, her focus has been on helping organizations develop effective marketing strategies to support their business goals. Ms. London is a Member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS).

Mr. Mark T. Wight is an Owner of Wight & Company and serves as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Wight pursued the law profession in Washington State and opened his own firm, embarking on his own entrepreneurial journey. He retired from the law practice and joined Wight & Company as Executive Vice President. He took full responsibility for Wight & Company in 1991. He has been an active contributor to the Chicago land community. He serves as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Glenwood School for Girls and Boys and sits on the President's Advisory Council for Benedictine University. He is a member of the American, Illinois and Washington Bar Associations; moderator for the World President Organization and is a Reed College Alumni Representative for Chicago land. He was a Trustee of the East-West Corporate Corridor Association; Chairman of the President's Advisory Council for Benedictine University and was a Gala Chairman for the Ronald McDonald House (Chicago). Mr. Wight has received award recognition from a broad array of industry sources, but retains its focus on delighting clients as a primary objective of design. As the steward of a design business, he is constantly anticipating the next direction of the industry. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Reed College (Portland, Ore.), and Juris Doctor degree from University of Notre Dame.

Ms. Lois Vitt Sale AIA LEED serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer of Wight & Company. With over 20 years of experience, Ms. Sale leads Wight & Company's sustainable design initiatives and continues Wight's commitment to ensuring that its clients have access to the latest thinking in sustainable solutions. Ms. Sale returns to Wight & Company, after a brief hiatus to start her own company and work for an international design and consulting firm. Ms. Lois' career has been both driven and distinguished by environmentally sound building practices. Her portfolio consists of more than 60 LEED?? projects including prominent projects such as the LEED Platinum Hidden Oaks Nature Center and the Bachelor Enlisted Quarters at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center ' one of the first LEED certified buildings in the country. She maintains a LEED?? Faculty title and is affiliated with the US Green Building Council (USGBC), Illinois Green Building Advisory Council and the Illinois Climate Change Advisory Group. She is adjunct faculty at Northwestern University's Master of Project Management Program where she has taught a course in sustainable construction since 2003 and also serves as the co-chairperson for the host committee of the Greenbuild 2010 Conference. Ms. Lois is a licensed architect in the state of Illinois and a member of the American Institute of Architects. She holds a bachelor's of arts from Indiana University and a master's of architecture from The Catholic University of America.

Mr. James C. Mark, also known as Jim, Jr. AIA LEED AP. serves as Managing Director and Senior Vice President of Wight & Company. Mr. Mark served as the Vice President of Architecture and Chicago Office Director of Wight & Company and is responsible for business development and overall success for projects. Mr. Mark has more than 20 years of professional experience working with public and private clients through the management of a project ' from planning to completion. He has acted as client advocate, project director, project manager, and lead designer for new projects and renovations of Wight & Company. Mr. Mark is a licensed architect in the State of Illinois and a member of the American Institute of Architects. He is a LEED?? Accredited Professional. He is a member of the Chicago land Chamber of Commerce, the US Green Building Council and the International Facility Management Association. Mr. Mark earned a bachelor's degree with honors in architecture from the University of Nevada - Las Vegas.

Mr. Patrick E. Cermak, Pat has been President and Chief Operating Officer of Wight & Company since March 2008. Mr. Cermak is responsible for the daily operations of Wight's three offices, 165 employees and an extensive client list that reaches across northern Illinois and Indiana. With nearly 30 years of experience in the building industry, Mr. Cermak began his career in business development. Mr. Cermak holds a significant role in the business development efforts of the sales team at Wight by assisting with client relations, business strategy and internal project team management. His meticulous attention to clients and their needs have resulted in multiple long-term relationships. In addition to his leadership role at Wight, Mr. Cermak is a member of the Design-Build Institute of America, CoreNet Global and the City Club of Chicago. Mr. Cermak earned a Bachelors of Arts in Education from Benedictine University.
