Mr. Mark A. Turner has been the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of WSFS Financial Corporation and also of its subsidiary Wilmington Savings Fund Society FSB (WSFS Bank) since July 31, 2017 and April 26, 2007 respectively. Mr. Turner has been Member of the Office of the Chief Executive Officer of WSFS Financial Corporation since October 2004. He served as Chief Operating Officer of WSFS Financial Corp. from 2001 to 2007 and served as its Corporate Secretary from May 1998 to 2007. He was responsible for retail banking, marketing, human resources, facilities, technology and operations. He served as Chief Operating Officer from 2001 to 2007 and Corporate Secretary until 2007 of Wilmington Savings Fund Society, FSB a subsidiary of WSFS Financial Corp. He served as Chief Financial Officer of WSFS Financial Corp. from May 1998 to 2004. He was responsible for finance, accounting, investor relations, corporate development and risk management. He also served as the Chief Financial Officer of Wilmington Savings Fund Society, FSB from 2001 to 2007. Mr. Turner joined WSFS Financial Corp. in 1996 as Managing Vice President and Controller. From 1994 to 1996, he served as Vice President of Finance for the Capital Markets Division of Meridian Bank, CoreStates Bank and Vice President of Corporate Development for Meridian Bancorp. Prior to that, he served as a Senior Audit Manager with KPMG LLP in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has been Director of WSFS Financial Corp. and also its subsidiary Wilmington Savings Fund Society FSB (WSFS Bank) since April 26, 2007. He has been Member of Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council at Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, Inc., since January 1, 2014. He serves as Member of Federal Advisory Council at Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. He serves as a Trustee for Christiana Care, Inc. Mr. Turner serves on the Boards of Directors of the Delaware Bankers Association, Delaware State Chamber of Commerce, the Delaware Chapter of the March of Dimes (past Chairman), the Delaware Community Foundation, the Lincoln Club of Delaware and the WSFS Foundation. He serves as Chairman of the Board of the Delaware Bankers Association and also serves as The Vice Chairman of the Board of the Delaware Business Roundtable, the Executive Committee of the Board of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce. He also earned a Master's Degree in Executive Leadership from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL), co-sponsored by The Gallup Organization. He earned his CPA in 1987. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and management from La Salle University, a Master's Degree in Executive Leadership from the University of Nebraska and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
