Mr. Howard E. Steinberg is a Partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP. Mr. Steinberg serves as Executive Vice President and Manager of Prudential Equity Group LLC, Asset Management Arm. He has been Senior Legal Advisor of ZAIS Group Holdings, Inc. since April 1, 2017. Mr. Steinberg served as General Counsel of ZAIS Group Holdings, Inc. from 2011 to March 31, 2017. Prior to joining McDermott, Mr. Steinberg was Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Prudential Equity Group & Prudential Securities, Inc. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and securities matters. He served as Managing Director of ZAIS Group Holdings, Inc. until December 20, 2016. He served as Executive Vice President of Reliance Group Holdings, Inc. since May 1998 and served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary from March 1983 to March 2000. He joined Reliance Group Holdings, Inc. in March 1983. Mr. Steinberg served as Chief of Corporate Operations and a Director of Reliance Group Holdings, Inc. since March 2000. He also served as Senior Vice President of Reliance Group Holdings, Inc. from March 1983 to May 1998. Prior to joining Reliance Group Holdings, Inc., he was a partner in the law firm of Dewey, Ballantine, Bushby, Palmer & Wood, where he specialized in corporate & securities law. Mr. Steinberg also served as Deputy Chairman of the Long Island Power Authority since May 1999 and served as its Chairman until November 2012. He previously served as Chairman of the New York State Thruway Authority from January 1996 to May 1999 and Chairman of the New York State Canal Corporation. While at Georgetown University Law Center, Mr. Steinberg was Editor of the Law Journal. He serves as a Director of LandAmerica Financial Group, Inc. He has served as a member of the Board of Regents of Georgetown University, an Overseer of the University of Pennsylvania School of Arts and Sciences, Chair of the Committee on Federal Regulation of the Securities Industry Association and a member of the Boards of Directors of Sheltering Arms Children's Service and the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund. Following his active enlisted service, Mr. Steinberg served as Captain, JACG, USAR.
