My team is very welcoming and accepting of differences, which makes for a very comfortable workplace
Generally Toyota is always trying to improve, and they usually make some amount of progress. The culture is pretty vibrant and diverse, though it could use more queer diversity and acceptance.
Leadership seems a bit tone deaf and out of touch, honestly. The higher up you go the less likely you are to find relatability, and that unfortunately starts just above department level leadership.
I've constantly poured effort and value into my work here, but the resulting 'merit increases' have at best been $0.25-&0.75 each year. I've worked here for many years and my hourly salary has barely increased by $2. I still rely on state welfare to feed my kids sometimes.
