I would feel better if we were all equally compensated for the work we do and for the years of experience and skills we bring. Someone received a 33% raise by simply asking and doing nothing special while someone else had to jump through hoops and is still severely underpaid.
They need to learn how to draw the line and say no when they are asked to do something beyond their means. This is why people are overworked and continue to be underpaid.
