Disappointing, discouraging, frustrating and futile. After 2 weeks I was let go due to no hours being available for the store.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The customers are the best and brightest part of my day.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I am paid slightly over minimum yet responsible for everything a manger is.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Only issue is the personnel and management, not the work or the overall brand .
What did you like most about the interview process?
This was the best part and inspired me about the future of my career. Unfortunately once I started that disappeared but I honestly enjoyed the online application and quizzes.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
They need to be open to everyone and not only Spanish speaking people. Franchise management and hr desperately need to get involved. Although this is specific to one store and allowed by only one franchise owner.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Communication! I was hired two weeks prior to ever being given a shift due to lack of communication between the store manager and the general manager. Also due to my nationality and spoken language, not one employee interacted with me. To the extent of me having to move stores just to get training.
