Mr. Martin K. Birmingham, also known as Marty, has been the Chief Executive Officer of Financial Institutions Inc. and Five Star Bank since March 1, 2013 and has been its President since August 28, 2012. Mr. Birmingham served as the Chief of Community Banking at Financial Institutions Inc., from August 28, 2012 to March 1, 2013. Mr. Birmingham served as a Regional President of Five Star Bank from December 2005 to 2009. Mr. Birmingham served as an Executive Vice President of Five Star Bank since 2005 until 2009. Mr. Birmingham served as the President and Chief Executive of National Bank of Geneva, since March 2005. He served as Regional President of Five Star Bank from December 2005 to 2009. He served as Market President of Bank of America Corporation and served there until March 2005. He has been a Director of Financial Institutions Inc. since July 25, 2013 and Five Star Bank since 2013. He serves as a Member of the Board of Directors at Monroe Community College Association Inc. He serves as Chairman of the Monroe County and Rochester Workforce Investment Board. He serves on the Boards of several community organizations, including the Seneca Park Zoo. Mr. Birmingham also serves on the boards of St. Ann's Foundation, St. John Fisher College, the United Way of Greater Rochester, Rochester Business Alliance and Unity Hospital. In 2007, he received the Monroe County Workforce Investment Board's Friend of Business and Workforce award. He earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree from St. Lawrence University in Economics.

Mr. William L. Kreienberg, also known as Bill, has been the Chief Corporate Development Executive of Five Star Bank since November 2016 and serves as its Executive Vice President. Mr. Kreienberg has been its General Counsel and Executive Vice President at Financial Institutions, Inc. since December 2014 and has been its Chief Corporate Development Executive since November 2016. He served as Chief Risk Officer of Financial Institutions Inc. since December 2014. Mr. Kreienberg has been General Counsel of Five Star Bank a subsidiary of Financial Institutions Inc. since December 2014 and served as its Chief Risk Officer since January 2015. Mr. Kreienberg served as the Chief Administrative Officer of Five Star Bank since July 2016 until March 2017. Prior to joining Five Star Bank, Mr. Kreienberg was a Partner of Harter Secrest & Emery LLP. He has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions ( M&A ) and related negotiations. In addition, he has represented both borrowers and banks over the last 30 years, gaining an intimate knowledge of the lending and workout process. He is a nationally recognized expert in the automotive industry, representing dealers on a variety of topics, including M&A activity. He is a member of the National Association of Dealer Counsel and was a Board Member at Greater Rochester Enterprise. Mr. Kreienberg has a B.A. from Muskingum College and earned his law degree from Syracuse University.

Mr. Michael D. Burneal also known as Mike, has been the Chief Risk & Enterprise Administration Officer and Senior Vice President at Five Star Bank since November 2016 and February 2010 respectively. Mr. Burneal served as the Chief Information Officer of Five Star Bank since September 2014 until March 2017. Mr. Burneal served as Senior Vice President/Banking Services Manager at Five Star Bank since January 2010. He joined Five Star bank in 2004 as Loan Operations Manager and was promoted to Vice President/ Banking Services Manager in January 2007. Prior to joining Five Star Bank, he held financial management positions at Sovereign Bank, First Federal Savings and Loan and Columbia Banking. Previously, he served for three years in business development at X/Net Associates in Fairport. He is a graduate of the University of Rochester and holds an MBA from the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration.

Mr. Kevin B. Klotzbach has been the Chief Financial Officer of Five Star Bank since April 15, 2013. Mr. Klotzbach has been Treasurer of Five Star Bank since 2005 and its Executive Vice President since April 2013. Mr. Klotzbach has been Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Financial Institutions Inc. since April 15, 2013. Mr. Klotzbach has been Treasurer of Financial Institutions Inc. since 2001. He served as Senior Vice President of Five Star Bank, a subsidiary of Financial Institutions Inc. since 2001. From 1999 to 2001, Mr. Klotzbach served as the Chief Investment Officer at Greater Buffalo Savings Bank.

Mr. Jeffrey Patrick Kenefick, also known as Jeff, has been Executive Vice President and Chief Community, Commercial and Strategic Development Officer at Financial Institutions Inc. since May 2013 and since June 2016 Respectively and served as its Commercial Banking Executive at Five Star Bank a subsidiary of Financial Institutions Inc., since May 2013. Mr. Kenefick has been Chief Community, Commercial & Strategic Development Executive at Five Star Bank since July 2016. Mr. Kenefick served as Regional President for the Southern Region at Financial Institutions Inc. Mr. Kenefick served as Regional President of Five Star Bank since May 2010 and served as its Commercial Market Executive. He served as a Senior Vice President and Regional President for Southern Tier Region at Financial Institutions Inc. He has more than 20 years of banking experience. He joined Five Star Bank in 2006. Mr. Kenefick served as Senior Vice President at Five Star Bank. He is an Alfred University graduate.

Mr. Michael David Grover, CPA has been Chief Accounting Officer of Financial Institutions Inc. since April 15, 2013. and has been its Senior Vice President of Financial Reporting and Tax since April 2013. Mr. Grover has been Senior Vice President of Financial Reporting and Tax and Chief Accounting Officer of Five Star Bank a subsidiary of Financial Institutions Inc. since 2008 and April 2013 respectively. Mr. Grover was most recently senior vice president, Financial Reporting and Tax for Five Star Bank, which he joined in 1999 as a senior accountant. He previously held public accounting positions with Battaglia, Andrews and Moag, which is now Freed Maxick and KPMG. He earned his B.S. in Accounting from the State University of New York at Geneseo.

Mr. R. Mitchell McLaughlin serves as the Chief Information Officer and Executive Vice President of Financial Institutions Inc. Mr. McLaughlin has been Executive Vice President and Information, Physical Security & Facilities Director of Five Star Bank a subsidiary of Financial Institutions Inc. since 2009 and January 2014. He served as Chief Information Officer of Five Star Bank, a subsidiary of Financial Institutions Inc. since 2009 until January 2014. Mr. McLaughlin served as Vice President of Five Star Bank since 1995. He previously served as Senior Vice President and Financial Officer of WYCO. Mr. McLaughlin has been with Five Star Bank for more than 28 years. He earned a bachelor's degree from Potsdam State College, and is a graduate of the School for Bank Administration in Madison, Wis., and the Graduate School of Bank Operations and Technology at Vanderbilt University.

Mr. Edward S. Oexle, also known as Ted, has been Buffalo Regional President of Five Star Bank since October 11, 2016. Mr. Oexle has been Senior Vice President and C&I Lending Executive of Five Star Bank since October 2016. He has more than 25 years of commercial banking experience in Buffalo, including executive and leadership roles. He served as Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking at Key Bank since 2012. He also has eight successful years of non-banking experience as partner and general manager of a privately held manufacturer and distributor based in Buffalo, providing him valuable business expertise and customer perspective of banking. Mr. Oexle served as Senior Vice President and Head of the commercial and industrial lending division of Greater Buffalo Savings Bank, where he joined in 2005. Prior to working at Key Bank, Mr. Oexle held various senior commercial lending and banking positions at Greater Buffalo Savings Bank, HSBC Bank USA and Fleet Bank. Mr. Oexle serves on the Board of Trustees of Hilbert College. Mr. Oexle is a graduate of the State University College at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.

Ms. Paula Dollinger Dolan has been Senior Vice President and Director of Human Resources & Enterprise Planning at Financial Institutions Inc., and Five Star Bank since September 2013. Ms. Dolan held various progressive leadership roles with the Burke Group, Unity Health System, Kodak and Rochester Community Savings Bank. She was the compensation and HRIS Manager for the Hillside Family of Agencies.

Ms. Sonia Marie Dumbleton has been a Senior Vice President, Controller and Secretary of Financial Institutions Inc., since May 2013. Ms. Dumbleton has been Corporate Secretary of Five Star Bank a subsidiary of Financial Institutions Inc. since May 2013 and has been its Senior Vice President since 2006. She has been Controller of Five Star Bank a subsidiary of Financial Institutions Inc. since 2001. She served as Vice President since 1996. She has been a Senior Internal Auditor with Financial Institutions since 1984.
