I had a lot of control over my work so I was able to accomplish a tremendous amount in a short period of time.

Because many people had been with the company for years, they were confident in their roles and there was little in-fighting.

Many people had been with the company for years so they knew the ins-and-outs and were efficient and effective at what they did.

Stop worrying about increasing stockholder value. Pay attention to customer needs. Recognize fewer employees means reduced work quality

Because people are tasked with the work usually done by two or more people, everyone is just trying to "get by" so there's little teamwork.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Understand processes don't get the work done if you're spending most of your day burdened by the processes.
