Horrible. I'm one of only a handful of white people at the Tolleson plant and my direct supervisor (a black man) singles me out every day for abuse. He refuses to advance my levels pay even though I've passed the written tests. He refuses to give me practical tests and lies about that fact.
What makes you most happy at work?
Being treated fairly, with dignity and respect.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
I am singled out daily for abusive behavior. The only reason I can deduce is that I'm the only white guy in the shop. I work hard and do what I'm supposed to do but still get treated like crap. I don't understand why.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Direct supervisor needs to be better trained on being a decent, effective, unbiased leader. Just because someone is a supervisor doesn't mean they are always telling the truth. He'll ask me a question and when I begin to answer him, he turns his back to me and starts speaking to someone else!
