I came in as a contractor, and was then converted, so my interview process looked different than others.
Understanding and supporting foundational work, and defending that work to the C-suite who only wants to chase shiny new ideas.
Colleagues at my level (independent contributor) are highly competent and want to collaborate. (Leadership often gets in the way of collaboration.)
Unlimited PTO and family leave. I know there's a downside to unlimited PTO, but it's good to have as a parent. And I see both men and women taking family (maternity/paternity) leave. ICs support each other taking PTO.
Its amount. I'm paid a lot for what I do, which is the only reason I haven't left - although the just-announced "culture shift" will likely mean my performance will never be enough, meaning I likely will no longer get any bonus.
