My experiance here is good, the campus is small and we all get along well. I feel that SJVC can do better at valuing its faculty especially during these times of pandemic. Sjvc has done a great job at providing a healthy work environment.
What makes you most happy at work?
What makes me the happiest is the staff and faculty that I work with.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
leadership needs to focus more on what us faculty does right and build from there and not only see the negative and try to "fix" it and forget about any positive.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The most positive thing about the enviroment is that everyone sticks to their rolls so that no one bumps heads. Being such a small campus we rarely interact with staff from other departments.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Some recognition, i feel we dont even get a pat on the back for what we do. What would make it better is if we were to get some sort of incentive such as coffee or lunch.
What are some of the best things about your team?
there is only 3 faculty members, me being one of them and both have been very welcoming and helpful in my journey here. we constantly share what we are doing in our class and how it can benefit the students.
