The school is led by a highly narcissistic individual who is building a monument to his legacy and because of that, there's a lot of yes people. To get ahead, you have to follow the bouncing ball and sing along with mitch. Confidence is conflated for competence. Promotions are political, pay Is low.

You get to talk to people you will be working with.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Co-workers are good overall, some great people, but they mostly feel they settled. On the customer level, they are mostly competent and decent.
What makes you most happy at work?
When I am allowed to do my job without constantly changing metrics that happen either because management is incompetent, they like seeing us run in circles or both. If the customer is happy, that should be good enough, but it isn't. A fixation on productivity when you're underpaying people is bad.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Typically employees below director level are paid 20-25% below what they would in the private sector. It's too much money to leave on the table if you are young and ambitious. They need to bring pay up a lot. Saying we get free tuition for ourselves and 75% off for dependents doesn't matter to us.
