Arizona State University Leadership Employee Reviews

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Open to ideas and balance of work and life

Not much. There are too many white men, all above a certain age.

They take into account what key stakeholders need and want while ensuring their employees are motivated to create the deliverables a project requires.

Lots of endless pushing to get tested for COVID. Disconnected about impacts of paying to park where you work and the cost of parking.

Wide view of possibilities and doesn't micromanage

I liked the best about the executive team is that they are super understanding towards students.

We all talk together to come up with solutions.

great communication with it's employees

Review from Engineering Dept

Overall, the leadership in my current role is very good. I do believe that there are opportunities for growth, but they are doing a good job. Improved areas could be transparency, team-building, and fostering/making employees aware of more growth opportunities (promotions, raises, how to elevate you

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Ethics, being human, not exploiting educators and students, stop being corporate

Transparency and be more down to earth. A lot of privilege above the manager level and they like it that way.

Creating a workplace culture that makes me not dread coming to work every day. DEI processes/training built in for staff and implemented in terms of administrative work, not just our public facing programs. Learning how to make staff feel valued. Increased transparency. Less micro-managing.

Communicating what they want better
