The combination of salary and variable compensation has improved in my time here. For executives, the bonus structure should change to stay competitive, but we're headed in the right direction.

Different options for health insurance. Living in Sioux Falls my whole life, I have only had the option for Sanford Health Plan (which isn't that great) so it is nice that I don't have to go to Sanford. I can now go to Avera if I would like

Operations staff is regularly undervalued, and turnover is very high. Vervent works with hiring agencies to keep the positions filled, but the benefits package is poor, and is combined with hourly pay that Vervent fights to keep as low as possible for operations staff.

I think the pay for my role for the location we're in is a bit under market and industry average and the lack of annual raises makes it a little hard to feel valued.

I wasn't aware that Vervent doesn't give annual raises so I was a little baffled when I found out. I understand Vervent has a variable compensation but in previous companies, I would receive an annual raise based on my performance and then a bonus based on the company/department performance.

I am happy enough with my salary but was unaware there are no annual raises provided. That detail should be communicated before people join the company

Training is atrocious. ZERO leadership. Zero response. Zero question answers. Zero trust.

My team is full of forward thinking, innovative individuals with different backgrounds. While we are different, we have a lot in common as well!

They work together well and seem to value each other's opinion and contribution to the team. They genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs and are vested in the company

Work from home options and casual attaire. I came from a bank where we were very formal so it has been a good transition.

Everyone looks out for one another, is there to talk when needed and can help in a stressful day

Leadership can't be so consistently invisible. If they're going to force operations staff to come in to work in person, they should as well. They cite "security" concerns for why work from home is not an option for operations staff, but hypocritically and constantly work from home themselves.

Leaders and not tyrants are the culture here. Bullying is not ok

I liked how down to earth all the interviewers were. They weren't just driving questions about work, we talked about who I was as a person as well. Not often do you get in-depth questions to that degree.

It was efficient and they were very clear at all points of the interview.

I met with multiple people from different departments

It was concise. One phone interview and 2 sets of in-person interviews and a decision was made in a span of less than 2 weeks which is quite efficient for a senior position.

It was a panel interview with the department head, my potential supervisor & a potential coworker. I liked that it was quick and to the point and they let me know that I got the job later that same day.
