After working in my position and all the changes that have happened in the last year I feel the job duty has expanded to be more complex and difficult. The tasks we perform daily requires more troubleshooting and sometimes feels we are the tech team vs Carrier Service team.

It does appear that other companies within the industry have a higher compensation rate. The yearly merit increases don't seem to match inflation and Loup is on the lower range of the scale compared to those at the railroad.

I feel as an employee of Loup I am considered "less" than a UP counterpart. Loup can have a record setting year in revenue generated and UP not have a stellar year and my bonus and raise is reflected by UP results rather than Loup results.

Salaries stayed behind compared with inflation and with bonuses being adjusted makes it less competitive. Year over year the employees are working more due to jobs consolidations and workforce reductions and now we have more responsibilities but are not rewarded for the extra work.

Comparable positions in industry are reporting 20%-25% more in compensation than what I am receiving (accounting for annual bonus). My salary increases have not kept pace with inflation/increase cost in goods and services over the last three years.

Compensation should reflect all the work I do that is above and beyond the normal day to day. Our medical insurance is ridiculous. People with any preexisting medical conditions have to pay an arm and a leg. Why is non-agreement medical insurance the same as agreement. Not fair.

If we did mid year and end of year raises more often for employees as it would help morale. I also think there should be discussion about promotions for doing well up to a level 17 like Finance does promotes with no interview just for doing good work and being somewhere awhile.

The company is improving the benefits of the at risk employees (1-5 years) but are not making substantial improvements for the employees that have been here more than 15 years.
