Skilljar is wonderful for inclusion. I feel like I can be myself and work with people who value my contributions.

Smart people who just want things to work. low ego, bias to forward movement rather than meeting endlessly to get nowhere.

They interviewed with values as part of the process. It's rare to see a company put that much emphasis on their values when the norm seems to be just purely selecting for hard skills.

People are authentic. It's not the most "professional" place, but I'd rather work with real people that are able to be their quirky selves than wear a six piece suit everyday and interact with people who are impressed by their own words.

It's important to talk about quality of life. I might be able to make more elsewhere, but I'm not willing to work 60-80 hour weeks or make my job my life. I'm paid well at Skilljar and I have a life outside of work.

What I love about the executive team is that I'm not afraid that we're going to go bankrupt by frivolous spending (a la WeCrashed), but it's not the type of place that has draconian financial controls either. The leaders are real people and not out-of-touch rich elites.
