What do you like best about the leadership team?
The transparency from the leadership team is very refreshing
The leadership team is diverse in terms of ethnicity, gender, background, and more. They are transparent and listen to their teams. All in all, a great group of leaders
Skilljar's leadership team is focused on where we need to go as a company, and what we need to execute on to get there.
I love how accessible the Leadership Team is. It is common for VPs to join our team meetings to solicit feedback on ideas or ask for ideas from our teams, and I feel confident that each of the leaders is individually aligned with our mission and with one another.
I love how transparent our leadership team is about our company goals, and how we live our company values.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?

What is the best part about your compensation package?
The benefits are great and the pay is competitive.
My salary as we are paid at market
That it is fair based on market pay
One of my favorite things about our compensation package is that Skilljar covers 100% of our medical/dental insurance contributions! It's such a privilege to have quality health insurance and not have to think about it.
The best part about my compensation package is my base pay.

What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone works well together and is very helpful
I love my team. We all really care about each other and want to see each other and our team/company succeed
Super collaborative, supportive, and elevate each other.
I am surrounded by smart and hard working people. I think it's in the nature of a start-up to attract people who like to go the extra mile and work toward a stronger future for our company and our customers - I see these qualities in every Skilljar employee I interact with.
Every person I have interacted with at Skilljar has been fantastic to work with.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Management keeps us very silod - difficult to get together or collaborate
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone truly cares about their co-workers and is willing to help out.
We live our values! And people are generally just very friendly.
One of my favorite small things that Skilljar does to foster our company culture is a weekly Poll. Teammates can submit poll questions, and every Wednesday one is posed and everyone can vote. As fun as it is to see the votes, my favorite part is the dialogue and getting to know everyone better!
Genuinely kind and caring coworkers who care about you both as an employee and as a human.
Despite being completely remote, I feel like part of the team all of the time.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
management needs to be radically replaced
What did you like most about the interview process?
I appreciated that it was a challenging process.
The interview process was the perfect amount of time (not too long and not too short). I was able to get all of my questions answered and understand a lot more about the culture here and how the company operates.
Getting to meet with people that I'd be working with regularly.
I loved working with Skilljar's recruiting team! They were so helpful and easy to partner with throughout my interview process, and since joining Skilljar I have been so impressed by the level of care that they place on every interaction. Our recruiters are the biggest cheer leaders once we're here!
The process was extremely quick, clear, and straightforward. The recruiting team was always responsive and transparent about what was happening. The team was also very friendly and really made me feel welcome.

The thing about Skilljar that brings me the most job satisfaction and joy is the ability to be creative. Our Customers and teammates are always pushing the boundaries of what is possible, and that means playing around with functionality and design ideas to innovate collaboratively and solve problems
We're tackling a big challenge in the market with a great solution, amazing customers, and a wonderful team.

product doesn't do much more than competition and is overpriced
