We are going through layoffs and reorgs right now, but the company is offering severance packages and offering to reassign affected employees. They are also offering career development.

Chevron is all about employee safety and doing the job right. There is never any pressure to do anything unsafely or in a rushed manner.

I like the people I work with and the work that I'm doing. I enjoy the part I do to fulfil the company's mission statement of providing affordable, reliable, and clean energy.

Pay is good. If you contribute 2% of pay towards 401k, Chevron matches with another 8%. There are performance-based bonuses. Premium share on benefits is a little high, but benefits are good quality.
