What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Chevron is a good company but they really nosedived these past 10 years. They show no appreciation to the workers especially at the LLP anymore. Supervisor at LLP is the worst and hires family and friends Nepitism at its best

Base salary totals out for me at like 105k and I can push that up near 200k if I'd like to.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Insurance is high and as well as deductibles for a Super Major.

I feel chevrons pention is set up to try and force u to stay till you get older to reach the full benifits of it but in doing this they hold the cards to lay you off before reaching the age to do so . Other companies are doing it evenely throughout your career not just all on the back end

Wages are getting better but still paid less then occupations with much less risk to life and health. Medical coverage gets worse not better.

I honestly feel we have one of the strongest teams in the gulf . And everyone is truly like family .chevron has stoped giving money for off sight teambuilds but the past 3 years I have put them together and we paid for it ourselves at least 2 times a year we are that close

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
My coworkers are mostly made up of friends of the supervisor so a lot of kissing up. Not sure if there is anything to change or improve except maybe establishing boundaries with supervisor

Many of my co workers can’t wait to climb that corporate ladder at whatever cost. They put no effort into training cause they don’t plan on being there too long.

What did you like most about the interview process?
They went based on experience and knowledge as well as mechanically inclined not based on test scores. Now all the people they hire have little or no knowledge of the job they are chosen based on computer skills.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
More staffing with workers that do work and less management and engineers. A true 80/20 on a health care plans based on an exceptional benchmark plan. Health and safety plans run by the workers based on finding true root causes rather than focusing on behavior and blame.
