What's one thing you wish you'd known before joining Proxibid?
The software development organization is NOT Agile, despite what they say in the job posting. It's mostly waterfall and NOT MVP. Auction industry is very strange, bridging the gap between traditional auction houses and modern online experience is difficult. They cater to the Auction Company significantly more than the buyers, which has implications throughout the organization and user experience on the website.
What's the office layout like at Proxibid?
Wide open space, 1/2 height cubicles so you can see wall to wall without obstruction. A few conference rooms on the outside walls, but interior is open concept. Departments are grouped together.
