Remove the toxic politics at the executive level. It filters down to the bottom level as the behavior becomes expected to thrive and survive. Also remove the bureaucracy from operations and IT.
I am not paid enough for my hours and for the skills I bring. I innovate by doing fairly simple things - yet the politics and fear keep any progress from happening or ideas from being adopted. Promotions are handled politically. COLA are only given for exceptional work / political savvy.
