In generally out local leadership is a great team, corporate leadership seems to be the problem. They need to spend less time creating policies and procedures and more time in the field with employees in order to better understand how those policies actually effect daily workflows.
The culture at our facility stems from the original ownership of Mercy Hospital. We have been through many transitions since then, but with many the original staff the culture is full of family and teamwork. We lift each other up, even when management fails to do so.
Many of us have been with the hospital for many years, we have grown to be more like a family than coworkers. Even when working with other departments, everyone is always friendly and courteous, and most will go out of their way to lend a hand when needed.
