Mr. John Dunbar serves as the Chief Information Officer and a Vice President at Atlantic American Corp. Mr. Dunbar is responsible for setting the information technology vision for Atlantic American Corp, including the planning, development, implementation and management of all IT systems. He has more than 20 years of progressively responsible experience in key leadership roles for multinational corporations. He served as Chief Information Officer and Vice President of IT with Aquilex Corporation in Atlanta. Previously, he served with EMS Technologies, Inc. and BTG Americas, Inc. He served as the Chief Information Officer of Ems Technologies, Inc. since March 9, 2005. Mr. Dunbar was responsible for implementing a new Information Technology (IT) vision for EMS, including overseeing strategic planning, implementation and management of IT functions globally. He joined EMS in December 2003 as Director of IT, where he restructured the IT department for improved efficiency and effectiveness, led the creation of an IT Disaster Recovery Plan covering all its locations and established processes and controls for regulatory compliance as well as general IT best practices. He served as the Global IT Director for BTG, where he established Ems Technologies Inc., technology strategy to align with the business strategy as groundwork for continuous international expansion. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Florida State University and a Master of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Georgia State University.
