Depends on where you work. My current office vibe, the environment is to make others look bad thinking this makes the person doing so look good. Our manager encourages people in our group to give dirt on each other. If you don't play along you are not in the Managers click. This manager will also destroy your career if he does not like you.
It’s had been a bit stressful which was due to a couple issues, schedules and lack of work. However as Boeing has been winning new contracts, and attitudes have been improving. Uncertainty with work and a company has always been a key player in poor attitudes and having a backlog of work has always been key in positive attitude and performance.
Grey dark cubicle farm with occasional kitchenettes and coffee areas. Pretty boring. Lighting is dim and sleep-inducing. Lots of internal company propaganda posted up on the cube walls. A bulletin board where several older employees are selling their motorcycles and where the union tries to make employees angry at the company. I think government bureaucracies have more interesting offices.
