It all starts with leadership. Trust, accountability and better communication would go a long way.
There are good and capable people here, they just need to be empowered and supported by effective leaders.
The interactions with my coworkers and direct team; the rare opportunities to be creative and strategic (when not stifled by management).
Promoting a culture of accountability and reinforcing effective leadership at all levels; understanding the worker experience (the culture may seem the same as it was back in the day, but it has suffered under inept management).
Competitive compensation and better benefits would help... most important would be adding a human element to benefits and policies instead of rigidly maintaining outdated practices for the sake of tradition (example = work from home policy).
