Company culture is fun. I love all the cool Echo swag we get. We have a "facebook" for employees all over the country to interact, share industry tips and knowledge, and again, the outings are usually fun. There is a bit of a drinking culture. They break out beer every Friday afternoon, and almost all outings are to bars, etc.
The company tries VERY hard to create a culture that is "hip" and "fun". A lot of the time it feels forced and that they are trying to hard. What doesn't help is that they're doing to cover up their down falls and to high the fact that they don't compensate well. Nepotism is the culture.
The culture in IT is very forced. It's not healthy and the culture outside of it exists naturally and typically for mutual disdain for the company.
The culture is like a real life version of Buzzfeed. Take that as you will.
