Mr. Jeffrey S. Rittichier, also known as Jeff, has been the Chief Executive Officer of EMCORE Corporation since January 3, 2015 and serves as its President. Mr. Rittichier has an extensive record of accomplishment in the optical components industry. He served as Vice President and General Manager of Lucent's Access Business. He served as Chief Executive Officer of NanoStatics. He served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Xponent Photonics, Inc. since October 2001. He served as Vice President of Marketing of Ortel Corporation since April 1999. Mr. Rittichier joined Ortel in April 1999 as Vice President of Marketing for broadband communications, where he was responsible for overseeing the business unit's development through marketing strategies and tactics. From June 1994 to April 1999, Mr. Rittichier served various management positions, including Director of Marketing and Sales and Director of Manufacturing, for Etec Systems, a manufacturer of semiconductor generators and laser direct imaging systems. He also oversaw the development of the DigiRite 2000(TM) system, the world's first commercially successful Laser Direct Imaging system. From April 1991 to June 1994, Mr. Rittichier served various management positions with Cymbolic Sciences International, a manufacturer of imagining equipment and from April 1990 to April 1991, Mr. Rittichier served as Vice President of Marketing for GTX Corporation, a developer of CAD and document management software. From June 1984 to April 1990, Mr. Rittichier served various management positions with Gerber Systems Corp. Prior to 1984, Mr. Rittichier served as a Sales Engineer with Hewlett Packard. He has been Director of EMCORE Corporation since January 5, 2015. He serves on the Board of Directors for Sabeus Photonics. He served as a Director of Xponent Photonics Inc. He was awarded the title of Distinguished Alumnus by Ohio State University'sCollege of Engineering in 2011 and has completed the Financial Management Program at Stanford University. Mr. Rittichier earned a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio State University.
