Mr. Ralph V. Gilles has been a Head of Design at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. since April 1, 2015. Mr. Gilles has been Chief Executive Officer and President of Street and Racing Technology (SRT) Brand at FCA Canada Inc. and Chrysler Canada, Inc. since June 2011. Mr. Gilles served as Senior Vice President of Product Design at FCA US LLC since June 2009 and served as its Chief Executive Officer and President of Dodge Car Brand from October 2009 to June 2011. Mr. Gilles was responsible for all activities of the Product Design Office. He served as Vice President of Jeep, Truck and Component Design of Chrysler Motors LLC since April 2006 until September 2008. He served as Vice President of Design at Chrysler LLC and Chrysler Motors LLC since September 1, 2008. He served as Vice President - Jeep??/Truck, Color and Trim Studios and Specialty Vehicles, Chrysler Group, DaimlerChrysler since 2006. He served as Director of Truck Exterior/Interior Design Studio at The Chrysler Group since 2005, Director - Design Office, Large Car Studio, Family Vehicles since 2001, Senior Manager - Design Office, Studio 3 since 1999, Manager - Design Office, Jeep Interiors, Chrysler Corporation since 1998 and Designer - Design Office since 1992. Prior to that, he served as Design Director for Chrysler and Dodge minivans. He served as Design Director for the 2005 Dodge Magnum and 2006 Dodge Charger cars. He held roles of increased responsibility since joining Chrysler Group in 1992. He is a member of the FCA Group Executive Council. He serves as the executive sponsor of the Chrysler African American Network (CAAN) and played a leading role with The Chrysler Global Diversity Council. He serves as Trustee of McLaren Oakland. He serves on the boards of The Walter P. Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills, Mich. and The Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital Regional Medical Center in Pontiac, Mich. At his alma mater, The College for Creative Studies (CCS) in Detroit, Gilles serves on the advisory board of The School of Industrial Design and on The CCS Capital Committee. He has earned numerous academic and industry awards, including: The Michigan State University Eli Broad Graduate School of Management Young Alumni Achievement Award, The Automotive Hall of Fame Young Leadership & Excellence Award, NV Magazine Innovation Award, Black Engineer of the Year President's Award and N'Digo Foundation N'Design Award. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in industrial and Transportation Design from the Center for Creative Studies in 1992 and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Michigan State University in 2002.
