He spent the first nine years of his career in various positions at Norwegian Contractors, an offshore oil & gas platform contractor. From 1980 to 2002, he worked in various international executive and operations assignments for Aker Kvaerner, serving as President of both the Oil & Gas division and the Maritime division. Mr. Petterson served as the President and Chief Executive of Gearbulk (UK) Limited. Mr. Petterson has been a Director of Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation since December 27, 2016. He holds both Master's and Bachelor's Degrees from the Norwegian University of Technology.
