
The culture varies drastically by department/manager. In aggregate, collegiality, integrity, rationality are adhered to at Guidewire. In hr/ops, it's all about lowest cost. In product dev, they make sure you don't work more than 45 hours a week to ensure "good people" don't get burned out. In IT/IS you must be willing to work 80+ hours/week and not take any vacation to show that you are "loyal". It's a different company in ops, and I would not assume the high glassdoor reviews apply there. Join another part of the company, and you will be fine.
