My team is full of smart, friendly individuals. Each person is dedicated and has helped the team execute countless initiatives.
CEO is insecure and micro-manages contributors. Employee equity is an absolute joke, only winners if the company is sold are the CEO and head of finance. Contributors are stretched extremely thin and expected to deliver on unrealistic deadlines even though their incentive (as mentioned above) is 0.
Valuing contributors. Employees go above and beyond to deliver, but their efforts are under-valued. Dedicated individuals that actually do the work need to feel a pride of ownership and purpose, but it is often taken away as the CEO strong arms contributors into cutting corners, demotivating them.
CEO needs to stop micro-managing development efforts. He hovers around the office detailing every product change that is being made. Contributors need a sense of freedom and independence in order to thrive. This kind of behavior from the CEO is frustrating and makes you not want to come to work.
