
There is no work/life balance at Hitachi. With the freedom to work remotely, the expectation is that you are available 7x24 to take a call from a superior, a colleague or a customer. Every issue from a customer is a critical situation demanding a response or an escalation. Balance is a great talking point for the executive team, but no where near a reality for those actually working the business.
Good - but it honestly depends upon your manager. Mine was flexible, but there can be those that require people in seats in the office from 8am to evening hours.
There is none there is a word that means work yourself to death, that is what is expected from you at Hitachi.
