Respect for skills, reasonable workload, individual contributions. Culture is cut, cut, cut on resources, then expect those who are left to do the work of 3 without commensurate acknowledgement. Peers are collaborative and professional ALWAYS - but marketing is currently a particularly toxic environment due to forced relocation, ridiculous level of attrition and related skill flight/institutional knowledge. A common refrain from management is "at least you have a job", even if it includes 60+ hours a week, no annual bonus, and scheduled weekend reviews.
New executive team who wants to GROW the company beyond just providing goods and services to big businesses. IBM is a services company dependent on its people to generate revenue... but these people are only viewed as costs vs the source of rev and profit.
Make it more open, publish salaries, publish opportunities WW and drive teams to exceed expectations. Increase salary for top 50% and drop bottom 25% of performers.
Shake up and get rid of the top brass. Many have been in place for too long, especially during the last 5 quarters of losses.
Fire the CEO no incentives, just boot her out and give her 1/2 month pay and that is it is....just like she does everyone else.
Invest in our people and in defining processes/standards that support our target objectives and enable all employees to reach optimal results.
My suggestion would be center upon an increased tolerance for risk taking as a central tenet of corporate culture.
more team training exercises to keep up with the latest software releases and build team collaboration
Treat employees better So they want to do better work. Understand the work smarter not harder concept
More objectivity rather than cliques and who-you-knows. It is IBM after all and not BAH.
I would make it more flat and have less levels of approvals and executives.
I would do away with utilization and promote team building activities away from work.
Actually fulfill the statements that make you think they care about their employees.
More info about job opportunities within and paths for advancement
I would make it more transparent and less matrixed.
Need to end the current round of mass firings.
Hire a younger more progressive CEO
More co-location of teams.
